Following our hugely successful appearance at ScaffEx 24 in Belfast, where Buckley Design Solutions Ltd proudly showcased our Blackburn College 3D-printed model — shortlisted for Design of the Year — we were delighted to return for this year’s event: ScaffEx 25, held at Manchester Central on 11–12 September 2025.
A Bigger, Bolder Follow-Up to Belfast
Last year’s ScaffEx in Belfast set a new benchmark for the scaffolding industry, and this year’s event built upon that momentum with even greater ambition. Hosted once again by the NASC – National Access and Scaffolding Confederation, ScaffEx 25 was over double the size of the inaugural expo, attracting more than 3,000 industry professionalsfrom across the UK and beyond.
For Buckley Design Solutions, returning to exhibit for the second consecutive year was both a natural progression and a proud milestone — a testament to our continued growth, innovation, and influence within the scaffolding design sector.
Showcasing Our Expertise at Stand D2
After months of planning and preparation, our team was thrilled to unveil an expanded and more interactive display at Stand D2. Visitors had the opportunity to explore:
- Our innovative scaffold design portfolio, brought to life through detailed visuals and video reels.
- The return of our 3D-printed model, first seen at ScaffEx 24, alongside new designs demonstrating our advanced engineering capabilities.
- Insight into our technical design process, highlighting how our engineers merge practical site experience with precision engineering.
It was fantastic to reconnect with returning visitors from Belfast and to introduce new faces to the BDS approach — scaffold design by engineers, with over 80 years of combined scaffolding experience.

Recognised by NASC for Industry Excellence
This year, Buckley Design Solutions had the added privilege of being chosen by the NASC to perform independent Category 3 (CAT 3) design checks on all scaffold structures submitted by ScaffEx exhibitors.
Our engineers carried out comprehensive reviews of every design ahead of the event and were also responsible for on-site inspections and final sign-offs once structures were erected — an endorsement that reflects the NASC’s confidence in our technical expertise and commitment to safety and quality
A Standout Year for Networking and Growth
Throughout the two-day event, our team met with clients, suppliers, and more than 100 new business leads, making ScaffEx 25 our most productive exhibition to date. We also took great pleasure in catching up with familiar faces and industry friends, discussing innovation, safety, and the future of scaffold engineering.
We extend our thanks and congratulations to Wayne Connolly, Clive Dickin, Mark Collinson, and the entire NASC team for organising such a first-class event. The Manchester venue provided the perfect backdrop for an exhibition that truly captured the strength and professionalism of our industry.
