At Buckley Design Solutions Ltd (BDS), we’re proud to invest in our people — ensuring our team continues to lead the way in scaffold design innovation. Recently, a group of our engineers attended a hands-on scaffold training day hosted by our valued client, Connolly Scaffolding, at their Salford depot.
The session aimed to bridge the gap between technical design and on-site construction — reinforcing our belief that the best scaffold designs come from a deep understanding of how they’re built in practice.
Combining Theory with Real-World Experience
Our engineering team is a blend of talent — from seasoned ex-scaffolders who bring invaluable site experience, to academically trained engineers and architects with strong theoretical foundations.
While our ex-scaffolders possess an instinctive grasp of scaffold systems and connections, our academically trained engineers gain huge value from experiencing scaffolding hands-on. During the session, our team translated drawings into real structures — assembling, testing, and refining their understanding of how design meets reality.
