Last week, members of the Buckley Design Solutions team had the privilege of taking part in the Men’s Mental Health World Cup 5-a-side Charity Tournament, held at the iconic Goodison Park, the historic home of Everton Football Club.

The tournament brought together businesses from across the construction industry with one shared purpose – raising awareness of men’s mental health and encouraging open conversations around an issue that continues to affect far too many people.

For the event, Buckley Design Solutions joined forces with one of our long-standing clients, Crossway Scaffolding, forming a combined team to take part in what proved to be a fantastic day both on and off the pitch. It was a great opportunity to strengthen relationships away from the workplace whilst supporting a cause that is incredibly important to everyone involved.

The weather certainly played its part too, with glorious sunshine providing the perfect backdrop to an excellent day of football, teamwork and fundraising.

Whilst we didn’t come away with the trophy, the day was never just about the football. It was about standing together as an industry, showing support for those struggling with their mental health and helping to break down the stigma that still surrounds these conversations.

Construction remains one of the industries most affected by poor mental health, making events like this more important than ever. The willingness of so many companies to come together demonstrates the positive direction our industry continues to move in.

A huge thank you goes to the organisers, volunteers, sponsors and everyone who helped make the day such a success, as well as Everton Football Club for providing such a memorable venue.

Finally, thank you to Crossway Scaffolding for partnering with Buckley Design Solutions for the tournament. It was a pleasure sharing the experience together, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s event.

At Buckley Design Solutions, we believe that building strong relationships extends beyond the workplace. Supporting initiatives that make a genuine difference to people’s lives is something we’re proud to be part of, and we look forward to continuing to support the Men’s Mental Health World Cup in the future.
